- Carlos Murrietta's brother, Pedro, arrives from South America with the second shipment of stolen jewels. Zorro searches the blacksmith's shop for the first shipment of jewels, and must tangle with both Murrietta brothers.
- Diego and Bernardo visit the mission to ask the padre about the Cross of the Andes, which was stolen from a church in South America. The padre informs Diego that many churches in South America have been robbed. Garcia visits Don Diego, and wonders how Bernado heard him knocking at the door. Garcia asks for money to throw a party for Senorita Delores, who he is trying to court. Diego agrees to finance the party, and continues to investigate how the jewels disappeared from the box in the tannery while Bernardo was unconscious. While preparing for the party at the tavern, Diego hears Carlos tell Garcia the tannery was robbed while Jose was gone on business last night. Diego knows that Jose was actually killed while fighting Zorro and probably hid the jewels somewhere in the tannery where Carlos was unable to find them. Diego wants to search the tannery as Zorro, but cannot leave the party without being rude. He sends Bernardo dressed as Zorro instead. During the party, Garcia enlists Cpl. Reyes to say good things about him to impress Delores, but the plan backfires when Delores is charmed by Cpl. Reyes. Then Pedro Murietta, Carlos' brother, arrives from South America and demonstrates his skill with bolas. The brothers meet and discuss a plan to capture Zorro so they can recover the Cross of the Andes. Diego sees them leave for the tannery, and goes to help Bernardo. Bernardo is captured while dressed as Zorro, and unable to answer questions because he is mute. Zorro stops them from killing Bernardo, and the brothers are surprised to see two men dressed as Zorro. The two Zorros escape and plan to continue searching for the jewels in the next episode.
