Prospecting with your kid
This Zane Grey Theater story stars Cameron Mitchell hardly recognizable with a walrus mustache and white beard as a newly released convict who has saved his money and wants to take up prospecting. He wants to do it with his kid whom he has to get reacquainted with.
But Ben Piazza is all of 17 years old and has fallen in with bad companions. Chief among them is a deputy sheriff played by John Milford. He's a loudmouthed swaggering bully who uses the badge to get over on people. As it turns out he's a great deal worse than that.
The teleplay was short and sweet as it has to for half hour drama. Mitchell is fine as a world weary convict who wants to make it up to his kid. Turns out both father and son had false assumptions about the other.
For Cameron Mitchell's fans and more.
