- Brad has a business meeting with his new assistant and tries to make Grace see the bright side of their new arrangement. Grace is preoccupied when she spots Sharon and Doris having lunch across the room at Gina's. Doris tells Sharon that Nick is truly sorry and she better not uproot her children prematurely because her marriage is salvageable. Tony confronts Nick and a fist fight ensues until Brad breaks them up. Al tells Alice that Cassie is not her little girl anymore and she is just living on pipe dreams. Just then, Alice gets a new lead on Sharon as she learns that she was best friends with a certain Grace Turner... In court, the testimony of a signature expert is inconclusive whether the letter Jill received from Beatrice in which Phillip signed the Chancellor Estate over to Jill is the real deal. Michael and John realize that the whole case will rely on Beatrice's testimony. During recess, Beatrice continues to stress that she is short on cash, but Jill explains that she cannot give her any money just yet. When the court reconvenes, Jill is shocked that the former maid is missing and Judge Jennings wants to proceed with the next witness. Paul is still angry with Christine that she hid her investigation on his father from him. Later, Lynne offers to lend an ear to Paul who just barks at her that this private matter is none of her business. He quickly apologizes to his trusted assistant. Carl tells Ruth he just wants everything to go back to normal. Ruth cannot believe he has no feelings for or memories of Paul or his wife. She reminds Carl just recently he called her "Mary".
