A rather dull start to the forgotten anthology series.
Harry and Betty Hewart are terrified when they discover their daughter behaving in an incredibly bizarre and strange way, she appears to have been taken over, mind, body and soul, by a spirit named Alfred Brown.
Not the most exciting or enticing start to a series. It's somewhat Coronation Street doing The Exorcist, badly, I can't explain how or why, but it's just a seriously unappealing drama, the voice coming through Norma just doesn't fit, and we simply don't learn anything about Alfred, nothing of any significance anyway.
Lots of shouting, screaming and loud music, sadly it doesn't make up for the huge gaps in the actual storyline, oh wait.....what storyline, sadly there just isn't much of one.
Always interesting to see Connie Booth outside of Fawlty Towers, though not one of her finer moments.
There's nothing wrong with the ideas, but the production is just horrible.
5/10.
