The second part of "And Baby Makes Four" continues the storyline of Julie making her way to the hospital accompanied by Barbarino, who enjoys making the rounds with the nurses, though one in particular (Kathleen Doyle) quickly tires of his banter. An expectant father (Ken Sansom) greets Horshack as a fellow daddy, only for Epstein to set the record straight: "little Arnold here just reached pooberty!" The Kotters enjoy some quiet time before the birth, Julie's labor cries resulting in her classic line: "this is no time to be doing Arnold Horshack imitations!" Gabe insists it's not too late to back out on natural childbirth: "I'm relaxed, I'm just a little tense!" Enter the often mentioned Dr. Mel Melmann (Alan Oppenheimer, his only appearance), who panics the father by telling Julie that Gabe was one of the first babies he ever delivered: "but don't worry, I'm a lot better at it now!" Imagine the shock when the doctor announces that it's not a bouncing baby, but actually plural! This hour long broadcast would conclude with next week's regular half hour, actually scripted by Gabe Kaplan.
