- Debi McCullough: Mom, do you believe in aliens and all that stuff?
- Suzanne McCullough: Yes. Yes, I do. See, there's so many planets and stars in the universe. It only makes sense that there'd be life out there somewhere.
- Debi McCullough: Do you think they're green?
- Suzanne McCullough: [laughing] You're funny.
- Miss Daly: I told Mr. Welles what happened that Halloween night, but for whatever reasons of his own he did it differently.
- Harrison Blackwood: You spoke with Orson Welles?
- Miss Daly: Yes, I spent quite a lot of time with him. Orson was the most beautiful man I'd ever seen. Slender as a reed. I was working on the newspaper in those days, and he and the two other men came out here to do research for the radio program.
- Harrison Blackwood: Excuse me, did you say two other men?
- Miss Daly: From the government.
- Harrison Blackwood: And what were they doing with him?
- Miss Daly: From what Mr. Welles told me, the government hired him to do this program to divert attention from what really happened.
- Harrison Blackwood: Do you mean the whole "War of the Worlds" radio broadcast was a government coverup?
- Miss Daly: No, no. The government wanted to protect the people. Mr. Welles was a patriot.
- Harrison Blackwood: [Face to face with a Martian] You've taken possession of that body. God, it's incredible! Why are you doing this? What do you people want? Where do you come from? Why this planet that you came from across the universe? We're so different. We've so much to learn from each other. There's enough universe for both of us to live in peace.
- Red: Advocate! I believe the detection device has found the object of our search.
- Advocate #1: You believe? Why are you not certain?
- Red: The object is still buried in the ground.
- Advocate #3: Where it does us no good. Why the delay comrade?
- Red: Progress is slow advocates. We must proceed with extreme caution. I believe the decision to occupy the bodies of motorcycle enthusiasts have complicated this.
- Advocate #2: Explain yourself?
- Red: These bodies are attracting unwanted attention from other humans.
- Red: Hey back off! You're getting too close. You be cool and we'll be cool.
- Officer #2: Nobody gets off their bikes in Grover Mills.
- Red: Look! We're just here to bury our friend on his home turf. Then we'll be on our way.
- Norton Drake: [With his eyes wide opened] THEY'RE HERE!
- Colonel Paul Ironhorse: [after the disguised aliens chase after him to Mr Flannery's barn] THEY'RE COMING!
- Officer #1: Sorry there was a big storm last night. Rockslide. Turn back now.
- Norton Drake: Rockslide? Okay.
- Officer #1: [In alien language] The humans are so gullible.
