Mr. Carlson should have asked the man claiming to be Don Pesola for his identification before giving him the 5000 dollar prize money.
When the fake Don Pesola says the wrong call letters for the station, Mr. Carlson should have immediately realized that the impostor does not listen to the station and is committing fraud.
When Mrs. Kleppner is making her guesses to the songs, Howard Hesseman reacts with glee too soon. He starts smiling after Kleppner says "YMCA by the Village People" giving the impression that THAT is the incorrect answer when in fact it was correct. He should have waited until she had said "The Star Spangled Banner" because that is when she made her error by skipping over song #5, "Straight On" by Heart.
The contest rules state listeners must name six songs in order for the win. In reruns and on DVD, Mrs. Kleppner names only five. This could have been an editing error because the song titles from the original airing cannot be mentioned due to copyright.
