  Barry : Tiffany, what's wrong?

  Tiffany Malloy : I just had a brush with death. I was crossing the street on my way to school, and this bus came barreling down on me at ninety miles an hour.

  Amber Moss : Oh, my God, are you okay?

  Tiffany Malloy : Yeah, fortunately it missed me. If I was standing just a few inches over, that bus would have hit me and dragged me under its tyres for three blocks like it did that poor idiot who was standing next to me.

  Ryan Malloy : [enters, has severe arm injury and huge tyre mark all over his shirt and the right side of his face]  You guys aren't going to believe what happened to me. I was standing next to Tiffany...

  Barry : Not now! Can't you see we are talking to Tiffany?

  Amber Moss : [annoyed tone]  Were you almost hit by a bus?

  Ryan Malloy : Well, not technically, but...

  Amber Moss : Well, then wait your turn.

  Barry : Tiffany almost died. I'm gonna tell everyone my best friend was almost hit by a bus. I think I'll start with the boys' locker room.

  [and off he charges] 

  Amber Moss : [gets up too]  I'm gonna go with him. People deserve a choice.

  [off she goes as well] 

  Ryan Malloy : Hey, Tiffany, do you think... uhm... you could help me down to the nurse's office?

  Tiffany Malloy : Give me a few minutes here, something almost happened to me. Besides, what's the nurse gonna do, besides put a thermometer in your butt and hand you a lollipop?

  Ryan Malloy : Ooh, my two favorite things, is all.

  Tiffany Malloy : It was pretty traumatic for me. While you were being dragged down the street screaming "I don't wanna go to the airport!" I thought that could have been me. Had I been stupid enough to stop and bend down to pick up that bottle cap.

  Ryan Malloy : I thought it was a nickel. All shiny... and new...

  Tiffany Malloy : Didn't you see the bus?

  Ryan Malloy : Yeah.

  Tiffany Malloy : Then why didn't you wait till the bus had passed and then stopped to pick up the nickel?

  Ryan Malloy : Why, sure, it's easy to call the plays on Monday morning, now isn't it?

  Tiffany Malloy : You know, I just realized that I'm gonna die some day. Life is a party, and I'm still deciding what to wear. I gotta do something... *bad!* Something I - I've never done before.

  Tiffany Malloy : Not *that!* I wanna get a thrill, not give one.
