"High Advenure" is a wonderful suspense story. It's very well written and has a very scary premise--too bad, then, that there is such annoying narration. It's not bad enough just at the beginning--several times throughout the show the narrator interrupts the action to 'spice things up' but all it did was annoy!
The show is set in the hills of California. Landslides and flooding have been occurring around the same time that a young mother is bringing her sickly son to the mountains. When they arrive at this isolated home, things look great--it's beautiful inside and life looks grand. However, soon the nurse accompanying the family is found dead...and the mother hears sounds. There is SOMEONE in the house!
She tries to take her son to run but the unseen maniac has disabled the car. So, they try running but to no avail--they have no idea where to go and they just end up back at the murder house! She then phones the police but the unseen killer picks up the phone to listen....and he hears the police say that they cannot get there until tomorrow as the road has been washed out!!! Now, trapped, the mother's only choice is to try to fight to save herself and her boy!
As I said above, this is a great program. The narration, on the other hand, is unnecessary, heavy-handed and annoying. Despite this, it IS well worth seeing.
