When the airplane touches down on the runway, you can definitely see pilots in the cockpit.
The three tail numbers that are seen by the men were N804758, N67588 and N664753. Plane registration numbers in the USA are N followed by 5 numbers, making two of them invalid.
They claim the plane comes from Buffalo, and then claim that families from upstate New York will be upset. Buffalo is not in upstate New York.
After Sheckly meets with the airline personnel in Bengston's office, he dismisses them saying "stay around where you can be reached". As the personnel file out the door, the studio lights cast their shadows on the backdrop outside the door of what is supposed to be the airport grounds.
When the plane lands the tail number is N664753 on the side of the plane, but looking underneath the wing the number can be seen as N77932. N664793 is not a valid aircraft registration number, and this along with the name Trans East Airlines are just pasted on the side of the plane.
