"I'm getting married, not buried."

Warning: Spoilers
Larry thinks that he's actually found the girl of his dreams, Gloria (episodic TV veteran Cecilia Hart), and she seems to be quite bubbly and appealing. *Then* she comes on to Jack while they are in the kids' kitchen. Jack has to try to convince Larry that she was actually the instigator, that he would do nothing to hurt their friendship, and that she may not exactly remain faithful after marriage.

Despite a VERY budget-conscious wedding in the Ropers' apartment (!), with mostly just the series regulars showing up, 'Larry's Bride' sizes up as a good episode with some genuinely hearty laughs. John Ritters' typically hilarious performance is what makes it all work. His undeniable highlight is his big drunk scene, where he keeps chickening out of talking to Larry and taking some "liquid courage" in the form of cheap scotch that Larry got on sale.

Norman Fell likewise has some great moments as Stanley decides that for music at the wedding, he can blow his bugle! His most priceless moment is his choice of material late in the episode.

At least the dilemma here is resolved here without anybody's heart really being broken.

Eight out of 10.
