Joyce DeWitt found out Three's Company was ending when she walked in on cast members being auditioned for "Three's a Crowd".
When Mr. Furley is saying goodbye to the roommates, he hesitates before hugging Jack, then says, "Oh what the hell, you're cured!" (believing Jack is "cured" of his homosexuality because he just found out Jack is going to live with a woman) On the episode "An Anniversary Surprise" (S3 Ep 20), which the last episode that features the Ropers as regular cast members, Mr. Roper is hesitant to hug Jack, then says, "Oh what the hell!" and hugs him.
Aired in September 1984 a week before its spin off Three's a Crowd aired.
