I decided to pick up this show after I had been midway through "Mr. Show," as Bob Odenkirk and David Cross both helped put this show to HBO. The first episode sets up the series overall and what to expect. Great songwriting on Jack Black and Kyle Gass' part. That "Burrito Supreme" line was funny as hell. Coming from "Mr. Show" I was expecting some surreal element in this. I have to say it is prominently there but I think could've been tweaked larger to fit their comedic style. But, the way the mix of comedy and music is presented here in it's self is flawless, so I could be asking for much. Either way, this is adding up to be a classic piece of comedy.
