It is actually a story about corruption of youth that it is question here. It takes place in a women's state prison. A very young gal is arrested for armed robbery and put in jail ; at the same moment where Paul Marino is right here. With Arthur Hiller as the directing, you may expect more a drama than a brutal crime flick, although female in the can has always been a recurrent scheme all over the years. It also talks about the high number of young delinquent females arrested each year in the USA and put in jail, all mixed up ones with the others, the tender feet in crime and the already professional female criminals. The young inmate character is powerful, as the sub characters in this series. The sequence between this girl and her mom in the visiting room is gripping. A very good drama, worth watching.
