Serial murders
Hooker's investigation into a series of gristly murders by a pair of religious crazies is accompanied by Sergeant Leigh Stockwell, a close, old friend, whom is somewhat his protégée. But Stacy becomes suspicious that Leigh is using cocaine, an addiction which not only jeopardises the case and Leigh's job, but also Hooker's life...
An excellent performance by Molly Cheek as an ambitious police lady using cocaine to give her that buzz, but she gets double visions and dizzy spells. Hooker thinks she's not eating or sleeping, but when he finds out the truth he's typically stern yet caring. The ending is quite harrowing as it leaves it up in the air whether she stops taking the drug or not. That's followed by William Shatner talking. A strong anti-drug message overrides the two barmy killers on their murderous spree storyline.
