The young actress who plays Lilly Shoemaker (Genevieve Buechner) will go on to play another role in Supernatural almost 14 years later as Samantha in S14E4 - Mint Condition (2018).
The series creator, Eric Kripke , is from a small town in northwestern Ohio called Sylvania, a small suburb of Toledo. This is reflected in many episodes. For example, in the Pilot, the Woman in White was always seen on Centennial Road. Centennial is one of the longest and most well-known roads in Sylvania. The episode Bloody Mary takes place in Toledo. Not only that, but many of their cases take them to small towns any Ohioan would know, like Athens (historically one of the most haunted cities in the country). Centennial isn't the only street to pop up, either. Monroe, Lagrange, and many other street names in Toledo often pop up in episodes. You can even see the trend continue into Kripke's new show Revolution where the main characters are seen to be living in the neighborhood of Sylvania Heights.
When Sam is using the night vision mode on the video camera and Dean says "do I look like Paris Hilton?" he is likely referring to the sex tape Paris Hilton made in 2004 with Rick Salomon, who she was dating at the time. The sex tape was called 1 Night in Paris (2004) and was shot in the dark on a night vision camera.
Depending on who you ask and which article you read, Bloody Mary's origins date back to Mary Tudor but all hold the same theme that, if you say her name three times infront of a mirror, she will appear and your eyes will be violently disfigured or removed.
When Dean says "do I look like Paris Hilton", Sam kinda smirks then looks away. Jared Padalecki (Sam), starred in the horror movie House of Wax (2005) with Paris Hilton. It was released just a few months before Supernatural premiered.
