Warning: Spoilers
Requiem for Murder is an episode about Stone's Irish Catholic Stones spiritual faith and friendship with a Bishops who is shot and the following investigation. There is many characters, and twists with side stories with the Bishops spiritual struggles, and what lead to the crime. Of course there is a horror movie style plot twist, which I saw coming a mile away. Like a good mystery there is many great characters, and a message of why bad things happen to good people. 7 stars. Different style of story for a good break. A good character driven story, acted and directed well. One of the better episode for season 4.

In Reply To Being "Boring"

Bac-96806 dismisses the episode, "Requiem For Murder" as "boring"; "uninspired"; and "terrible". However the teleplay for this episode, penned by James Johnson Sweeney, won the 1976 Edgar Allan Poe award for best episode of a television series. The amazing thing about The Streets of San Francisco is that even with the plethora of constraints placed upon broadcast television (before the advent of cable) by the various offices of broadcast standards (that is, censors), this series was able to develop compelling stories that captured one's attention on a weekly basis. Given the restraints, that was no mean accomplishment.
