[the entire Voyager crew is having nightmares about the same alien]
Captain Janeway : Tell me more about your dream. Where exactly did you see the alien?
Tuvok : As a matter of fact, it was here in the turbolift.
Captain Janeway : What happened?
Tuvok : The alien simply stared at me, as if scrutinizing my appearance.
Captain Janeway : That's what happened in my dream. What did you do?
Tuvok : I returned to my quarters.
Captain Janeway : Did the alien follow you?
Tuvok : He did.
Captain Janeway : And then?
Tuvok : He watched me.
Captain Janeway : Doing what?
Tuvok : Getting dressed.
Captain Janeway : *Getting* dressed?
Tuvok : Yes.
Captain Janeway : I don't suppose I should ask why you were undressed.
Tuvok : I would prefer that you didn't.
-
Captain Janeway : Either I've become impervious to antimatter explosions... or we're still dreaming.
-
Dream Alien : [after one of the aliens suddenly disappears] What happened?
Captain Janeway : Looks like he woke up.
-
Captain Janeway : Pleasant dreams.
-
Captain Janeway : Wait a minute. If Chakotay was dreaming and he woke up, what are we doing here?
Tuvok : Perhaps we are dreaming as well.
B'Elanna Torres : Now I'm lost.
Neelix : You're not the only one.
-
Captain Janeway : We have to let the rest of the crew know what's happening, that as long as they know they're in a dream, they can't be harmed.
B'Elanna Torres : And if the aliens try to stop us?
Captain Janeway : Then we turn this dreamworld of theirs... into a nightmare.
-
Chakotay : I wonder... do they ever wake up? How did they evolve this way?
Captain Janeway : We may never know. Sometimes first contact is last contact.
-
Dream Alien : You sound very sure of yourself, Captain
Captain Janeway : Why shouldn't I be.
Dream Alien : Have you thought about what's happening to your bodies in the waking world? How long do you think they'll survive without nourishment, without physical activity? Your bodies are withering as we speak. You can't stop it.
Captain Janeway : Don't be so sure.
-
Seven of Nine : The Borg share a collective consciousness. These aliens may have somehow induced a state of collective UN-consciousness.
B'Elanna Torres : You mean... we're all sharing the same dream?
Tuvok : It is possible.
Captain Janeway : This is all fascinating speculation, but unless we have proof to the contrary, we have to treat this like an invasion.
-
Chakotay : I had a bad dream last night, too.
Captain Janeway : You tell me yours and I'll tell you mine.
