Let me start by saying it's a completely average episode. It doesn't really stand out, it's not hysterically funny or well written or anything of the sorts, but... I don't think Matt & Trey intended it to be. In this day and age no one ever talks about this episode. It's not really relevant anymore. It completely faded into obscurity. Just look at the review count.. 3 reviews before me and that's it..
A famous YouTube channel by the name of "Channel Awesome" Aka The Nostalgia Critic Guy rated this as his favorite episode. Not because it's objectively good but because of the concept and the timing. The world was in shock at the time and we needed South Park more than ever. We were curious as to how South Park felt about the 9/11 situation and well... All we got was a friggin' Looney Toons parody starring Eric Cartman and Osama Bin Laden...
It was serious times, no one really had a sense of humor about the situation and it was not an easy subject to joke about.. South Park took a huge dump on the whole situation.. This episode is not politically motivated at all.. All we learned from this episode is that Osama Bin Laden has farty pants and that's where the story ends....
