- TriviaAt the beginning of this episode, two posters for spoofs of 'The Matrix' franchise can be seen at the Aztec Theatre. The Matrix Revolutions had been released 5 months prior to this episode, making these spoofs a joke on their less-than critical success:
- "A Matrix Christmas", a play on words for a Merry Christmas
- "You're in the Matrix, Charlie Brown", a spoof of the titles for Charlie Brown cartoons, which were formatted as "You're [Text here], Charlie Brown"
- Quotes
Lisa Simpson: Aw, thanks for reading me the corrections. It makes me feel better about my own family.
Artie Ziff: Doesn't your father ever read to you?
Lisa Simpson: He tried once, but he got confused and thought the book was real. He's still looking for that chocolate factory... It consumes him.

Meh. A below average episode
Artie Ziff wasn't an overly funny character the last time he appeared, so I can't say his presence made this episode better for me.
