- A soup stand owner obsesses about his customers' ordering procedure, but his soup is so good that people line up down the block for it anyway.
- In this series-defining episode, everyone goes to this new soup stand because the soup is so great. Unfortunately, the owner is obsessed about his customer's ordering procedure. Jerry and his new girlfriend annoy everybody by using baby talk. George tries to do the same thing with Susan to show how annoying they are to everybody. Jerry and his girlfriend get rejected from the Soup Nazi's kitchen when they're caught kissing in line. Elaine buys an Armoire and asks Kramer to watch it. While watching it, Kramer is robbed by some gay, trash-talking street toughs who want nothing more than the Armoire. She then gets rejected from the soup kitchen when she offends the "Soup Nazi." Kramer, who befriends the Soup Nazi, gets a new Armoire exactly like the one that was stolen from him. He then gives it to Elaine, who discovers the Soup Nazi's recipes inside. Jerry pleads with her not to do anything, but Elaine threatens to put the Soup Nazi out of business.—halo1k
- Jerry finds a new soup shop that makes the best soup anyone has ever tasted. The only problem is that the owner, who's earned the nickname the Soup Nazi, is something of an eccentric. Despite warnings to the contrary, both George and Elaine fail to follow the 'rules' and suffer the consequences. Elaine has also found the perfect armoire but can't move it in to her building on a Sunday. Kramer offers to stand guard with little effect. Kramer makes up for his less than stellar guard skills by finding Elaine a new armoire from none other than the soup Nazi. She finds something inside that levels the playing field.—garykmcd
- A soup stand owner has a fanatic way of keeping his customers' ordering procedure as quick and smooth as possible, so he dismisses every customer who is incapable of following his instructions. His soup is so good that people line up down the block for it anyway, and this particularly annoys Elaine, who thinks he's an arrogant jerk, which results in her trying to destroy his business. Meanwhile, she asks Kramer to guard her newly-bought Armoire, but a couple of homosexual thugs rob him in bright day-light, and he's not able to stop them because they are too tough.—KnatLouie
- Jerry, George and Elaine visit a new soup stand. Jerry explains that the owner, Yev Kassem (Larry Thomas), is known as the "Soup Nazi" due to his insistence on a strict manner of behavior while placing an order, but his soups are so outstandingly delicious that the stand is constantly busy. Once you enter, you move to the right. Pick a soup, move to the left, and relay your order as you hold out the money. Move to left to collect your soup and exit the stand. No comments, no compliments, and no chit-chat of any kind are tolerated. Jerry had heard about the soup stand from Kramer, and believes that this is the best soup in New York.
On route, Elaine notices a man on the sidewalk with an Armour for sale. She forgoes the soup in favor of buying it. However, her building superintendent informs her that furniture move-ins are not allowed on Sundays, so she asks Kramer to watch the Armour and promises to get soup from Kassem for him in return. While she is away, two men bully Kramer and steal the Armour.
At the soup stand, George complains about not receiving bread with his meal. When he presses the issue, George's order is taken away and his money returned. On a subsequent visit, George buys soup, but Elaine, having scoffed at Jerry's advice on how to order, draws Kassem's ire and is banned for a year. Elaine had gone to the soup stand to get soup for Kramer who was spending the night on the sidewalk to protect her Armour.
Jerry and his girlfriend Sheila (Alexandra Wentworth) visit the soup stand. Kassem is repulsed by their kissing, so Jerry disavows Sheila to stay on Kassem's good side. Elaine has tasted George's soup and agrees that Jerry has made the right decision. Jerry talks about the breakup with George, who expresses disgust at Jerry and Sheila's baby talk and public displays of affection. Undeterred, Jerry makes up with Sheila at Monk's. George tries to teach him a lesson by behaving similarly with Susan, but this only leads to escalating affection between the couples as Jerry and George struggle to out-disgust each other. Susan is charmed by George's public show of affection and continues to mirror this behavior. Sensing George's discomfort at this, Jerry gloats by informing him that he and Sheila have broken up again.
Kramer, who has befriended Kassem, tells him about the Armour theft. Kassem offers him an Armour he has in storage as a replacement. Elaine is elated and goes to Kassem to thank him. When Kassem learns the Armour was for Elaine, he says he would rather have destroyed it than give it to her. Vowing revenge, Elaine returns to her apartment with Jerry, where they discover Kassem's soup recipes in the Armour. Elaine returns to the soup stand and confronts Kassem with the recipes, stating her intent to publicize them.
Jerry and Kramer find the bullies on the street and decide to confront them. But the bullies are loud and scary and Jerry and Kramer simply run away. Jerry encounters Newman, who is running to get a pot from his apartment. Newman tells him that because of what Elaine said to Kassem, he is giving away whatever soup he has left, closing down his stand, and moving to Argentina. Jerry runs towards the soup stand.
