Some segments on JD's pager's display do not exist on real 14-segment displays. The display doesn't write the letters D, R, or N the way a real display would. Also, most pagers are 7-segment displays (which can't spell out "TURN AROUND").
When Elliot is sitting on the wobbly clothes dryer, a crew member's hand is clearly visible holding the edge of the machine at the bottom left of the screen.
