- Lee Stetson: Amanda, I know you're sorry, I just bet Trixie is sorry, I know I'm sorry. So do you think we could put all this sorrow behind us and get back to work, huh?
- Mrs. Amanda King: I'm sorry.
- Mrs. Amanda King: Lee! Lee! Are you alright?
- Lee Stetson: Amanda.
- Mrs. Amanda King: Are you alright?
- Lee Stetson: I will be as soon as you get off my arm.
- Lee Stetson: You okay?
- Mrs. Amanda King: Yes. I've never seen Tarfalger Square before. I would've hoped I could move around a little.
- Lee Stetson: Move around and he may kill you.
- Mrs. Amanda King: Well, there's a lot to see from here, too.
- Conrad Walter Barnhill: The Mongoose knows everything.
- Mrs. Amanda King: Oh Connie, even hearing you say it, I can't believe it. I know about the Mongoose; he's supposed to be quick and elusive and you flunked gym two years in a row.
- Conrad Walter Barnhill: What I didn't know was how you were using Amanda. It's funny, you can never trust a cheerleader.
- Mrs. Amanda King: Conrad, why are you doing this?
- Conrad Walter Barnhill: You wouldn't listen to me.
- Lee Stetson: You never listen to me, either.
- Mrs. Amanda King: How could I believe that he was the Mongoose?
- Conrad Walter Barnhill: Does this help?
- [Pulls out a gun and points it at Amanda]
- Mrs. Amanda King: Oh, Conrad, please put that away. You were never good with things mechanical.
- Mrs. Amanda King: So it's called good guy/bad guy?
- Lee Stetson: Right. One guy questions the suspect. He's mean and rough and the other guy plays nice as a buffer to the mean guy.
- Mrs. Amanda King: Which side is the good guy on?
- Lee Stetson: The bad guy's.
- Mrs. Amanda King: But he's really good.
- Lee Stetson: Right.
- Mrs. Amanda King: Then who's really bad?
- Lee Stetson: The bad guy, uh, the suspect. You got it?
- Mrs. Amanda King: Okay, what's the matter? That's as good a good guy as I can be.
- Lee Stetson: Mother Theresa was never that good.
- Mrs. Amanda King: Oh, just remember Conrad has a way of getting himself into trouble.
- Lee Stetson: Like someone else I know.
