For the third consecutive episode "Starring George Maharis" appears on screen in the opening credits despite George Maharis having permanently left the series. This would be the last time he would be listed in the credits. "Buz" is not even mentioned in the episode.
The title quotation is most likely taken from the Canute Laws of 1016 (England) written to govern ownership of Greyhounds (one figures prominently in the episode). The law read that if a Greyhound was found within the forest "the master or owner of the dog shall forfeit the dog and ten shillings to the king."
The Marshall Inn at the beginning was last known as the Grand Hotel. In 2013, the only thing left was the sign. Junction Park is located here.
The Desert Greyhound Park dog racing track still exists except it is a sports bar and no racing occurs at the track.
