At the end, the rare rear hatch of the 1958 Chevrolet ambulance is shown. The standard station wagon had a two piece tailgate and rear window, where the tailgate hinged downward and the window hinged upward, as was standard on most wagons of the era. Most ambulances had a side opening rear door, where the hinges were on the side and the door opened outward. This setup shown here is more like the rear hatches on modern SUVs in that it has both the tailgate and rear window as one unit and hinges upward to allow access.
The cars in the ferry landing scene are mostly the same and in the same spot as the scene with the ambulance leaving, indicating these two scenes were filmed together and out of sequence of the show.
