The Stand Up Comic
Jimmy_the_Gent412 April 2021
Mr. Kaufman's nephew Mickey transfers to Walt Whitman and wants to be a comedian.

A good episode. Mickey is played by Michael Lembeck, his third appearance in a different role. He wants to be the MC at the school activities show even though his jokes are not funny. Kaufman is afraid he will be a flop and tries to discourage him. A subplot has Miss Johnson having to give a speech at a teacher's convention, she beat out Mr Dragen who really wanted to go.

Captain Kool
dtucker865 October 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Michael Lembeck who starred on the popular Saturday afternoon kids show Captain Kool and the Kongs appears on this episode as Principal Seymour Kaufman's obnoxious nephew Mickey. He is your typical spoiled, feckless kid who thinks he can get away with anything due to his family connections (he insists on calling Kaufman "Uncle Seymour" in front of the other students to impress them, they aren't impressed!) He aspires to be a comedian but he is about as funny as a crutch. Pete Dixon comes up with a PLAN to snap him out of this by having him emcee the school show but he gets stage fright at the last minute and is humbled appropriately, maybe he learned his lesson. There is an amusing subplot inovolving Mister Dragun being jealous of alice for being chosen over him to give a speech at a teacher conference.
