Mistaken identity?
pkfloydmh22 September 2021
This one is about a guy who kills a cop and then gets away and someone is later arrested for the crime but Webster has reservations about whether this is the man who committed the crime, although everyone else at the scene identified him as the killer, including Danko and Owens.

This is a really great and intriguing episode that deals with mistaken identity, a topic not previously explored on this show. It's a different kind of show because it's more of a mystery than anything else and even has a nice twist towards the end, something not typically associated with this show since it's a straightforward police procedural show and doesn't usually feature mysteries or twists. It's also different because the rookies clearly differed on whether the person in custody was the killer or not, but despite those differences, they worked together as a team to get to the truth, which is what ultimately prevailed. The performances from the entire cast are top-notch.

There's a nice chase and shootout on some docks but there are several obvious blunders as the scene goes from day to night then back to day then to night again. There's also a shootout at the end.

There are no hospital scenes and Jill's role is minimal as she only appears in one scene.

I really loved this episode. The story is well-written and well-acted and a bit of a change of pace, but with the usual action scenes still included. It's very entertaining and well-done.
