- TriviaThe episode was originally scheduled to air on Nickelodeon on August 22, 1992, but Nickelodeon and MTV considered it too disturbing and was replaced by a rerun of the original unaired pilot "Big House Blues" for season 2 instead. It also led Nickelodeon to fire John Kricfalusi and Spumco from The Ren & Stimpy Show (1991). It remained unaired until 2003, when Spike TV made it this show's unofficial pilot, with a TV-MA rating.
- GoofsWhen Ren beats George with an oar, his ear turns brown.

[Ren and Stimpy nods happily]

[Throws the goldfish out of the bowl. The goldfish then tries to breathe, jumps out to George's car and in it]
Goldfish: I'm outta here, man!
[Starts the car and crashes into lots of things on the street]
