Trying To Get Out Of One Serice And Back Into Another
Bilko, Zimmerman and Papparelli are all in San Diego but they only have seven dollars between them (Bilko having nothing). They are in a restaurant ordering when three floozies enter and they try to woo them. However, "the fleet" comes back quickly and sweep the girls away from our three guys. Bilko is calling the bus terminal to get tickets back to camp when he overhears a sailor talk about a big-money crap game.
"This is our chance to get back at the Navy," tells his two buddies. "But Sarge, we only have seven bucks," says Papperelli. "Well, that's our lucky number," says Bilko who then goes to work to find out where this top-secret game is being played. He gets lucky when a loser from the big game (played by Larry Storch, who is billed as "the crying sailor") comes in the restaurant. "The crying sailor" gets an unexpected monetary gift and heads right back to the game. Bilko and the boys follow them, then go to the Army-Navy store and get Navy uniforms. Bilko gets into the game, cleans up, but then is "raided" and sent aboard a ship.
How is he going to talk his way out of this one? Actually, he tries a lot of schemes but nothing works, but.....
