Dwight quotes Lex Luthor when talking to Michael about his raise. Rainn Wilson would go on to voice Lex Luthor in The Death of Superman (2018), and Reign of the Supermen (2019).
The song Dwight listens to to psyche himself for his review is Motley Crue - Wildside.
At the opening, on Dwight's desk is a Froggy 101 bumper sticker. That's the area's country music station, 101.3.
According to John Krasinski, when he popped the exercise ball with the scissors, it instantly deflated and Rainn Wilson "hit the ground harder than I've ever seen a human being hit the ground". As a result, Krasinski quickly leaps off frame because he started laughing immediately.
Yet another Philadelphia Phillies bobblehead doll on Dwight's desk. This time it's Mike Lieberthal, the former catcher. In Season 1 (deleted scene) it was John Kruk (who played first base for the Phils in the 80s and 90s). Edit: the bobblehead is from the Scranton Wilkes-Barre Red Barons. The Red Barons were the area's farm team for the Phillies in the 1990s. You can see the SWB on the hat. Lieberthal was a popular Red Baron before moving to the Phillies. The Red Barons no longer exist and the club is now the Railriders, affiliated with the Yankees.
