I'm going to start with Holling's dilemma. He hasn't paid taxes in decades and the government is coming after him. They want nine thousand dollars. Hard to believe it is so little. But he doesn't have that much, so he approaches Chris who got an inheritance when his father died. To get the money, he gives half the bar to Chris. This is nuts, even in 1992. Of course, Chris decides to start giving things away and remodeling, bringing in a whole new clientele. It becomes an artsy bar. Holling is sad as he should be. Meanwhile we have the reappearance of Adam. He is cooking again and being just as abrasive. Maurice hires him, a pathological liar, to take over the newspaper. He says there are talking trees, among other things. This leads to all sorts of crazy behavior among the townsfolk.
