This is a very funny episode of the show, a real sort of caper episode that builds as it goes along.

Full of wonderful moments, not to mention a nice little subplot involving Nick (who by this point really has replaced Janey as third on the bill), this was great.

One of the best episodes from across the 11 year run.

Ben and The Mob.

Ben treats a very grateful patient, Mr Smith, who gifts him a large cash sum, it translates that Mr Smith is no ordinary sort of businessman, in fact he's a bit dodgy. With Ben now part of the setup, he starts receiving gifts, including a Cartier watch.

This has always been one of my very favourite episodes, it is very funny, but just so original and quirky. Ben's story is of course the main focus, but Nick's story is also amusing.

The big twist with the watch is a really funny moment, and as always it's great seeing Ben get hurt in his most tender spot, the wallet.

Michael Attwell puts in an excellent performance as Mr Smith, he's a little bit menacing, a bit nasty, finally someone who makes Ben a little quiet, a little reserved.

8/10.
