The title is based on "A Little Night Music" which opened at the Shubert Theater in New York on February 23, 1973 and ran for 601 performances. The opening night cast included Len Cariou, Hermione Gingold and Glynis Johns. The 2010 revival starred Angela Lansbury who also did the musical "Sweeny Todd" with Len Cariou who starred in the original version of "A Little Night Music".
John Dye's character here is named Andy Broom. This will be the name of sheriff Metzger's deputy played by Louis Herthum starting in Thicker Than Water (1991).
