After two pretty disappointing episodes (Pike's Pique and Low-Cal Munster), Season One gets back on track with this enjoyably silly tale, which sees Eddie threatened with expulsion from school after he fails to tell his parents that he is flunking science. Keen to impress his principal at the school science-fair, Eddie builds a life-size, fully-functioning robot, but his creation is sabotaged by Taggart, the school's juvenile investigator, who is keen to see the wolf-boy sent packing.
With loads of terrific one-liners, some good visual gags (I love the scene where the Munsters operate on the robot, and Herman faints at the sight of oil!), a hilarious case of mistaken identity, and plenty of puns, plus quite a lot of screen time for Marilyn (for those who like their Munster women blonde, young, and alive), Tin Can Man is great fun from start to finish.
