- Helen Sanford: By the way, what did you two do on your honeymoon?
- Jerry North: None of your business.
- [first lines]
- Helen Sanford: There it is, Glenhill Manor. Everybody out. Aunt Clara's wedding present to George and me.
- Jerry North: All this and George too?
- Pamela North: I can't think of a nicer place to spend a honeymoon, can you Jerry?
- Jerry North: Yeah, Woodlawn, Grant's Tomb.
- Helen Sanford: Well, George felt kinda funny about this house. I didn't want him to come up until it was all ready.
- Pamela North: What do you mean he felt funny?
- Helen Sanford: Well, it's been closed up ever since my uncle died and somehow the real estate people were never able to rent it.
- Pamela North: You mean it's haunted?
- Jerry North: Wipe that grin off your face, Mrs. North. It may not even have a dead body inside.
- Helen Sanford: From now on, I'm going to listen to George. He never did like this place.
- Pamela North: Oh, Jerry.
- Jerry North: [to Helen] That's lesson number one for the bride. Always listen to your husband.
- [to Pam]
- Jerry North: That goes for all married women, too.
