Willie Gets the Girl
sylviajean7 April 2008
Warning: Spoilers
As faithful readers will no doubt recall, we left Willie, posing as a prisoner, witnessing trials of the mind-control drug on a beautiful young couple. The man (an impossibly young and gorgeous Stanley Kamel) is killed, while the baddies continue to threaten the woman. As the main plot reaches its climax, tender-hearted Willie can stand it no longer. He makes a break for it and carries off the gorgeous young lady in distress. As the door to the trusty van opens to receive the triumphant IM force, we see that Willie and his lovely prize are safe and sound, she, gazing into his eyes with profound gratitude. It's about time something interesting happened to our favorite strong man.

Mission impossible.

I'm going to give a lot of these shows a high rating because they are absolutely entertaining. I'm having a lot of fun watching them. And the music alone makes it a wonderful experience. Part of the fun of these old shows is analyzing the obvious flaws. Assuming the closet next to the cell that the prisoner is lucky enough to be housed in with two suitcases has no skylight. This is Sumption because obviously if there was a skylight in the closet the agent would simply have gone into the room and done all the work. A large hole is drilled into the wall. Then a tube is used to empty one container and slowly replace the contents completely. But the hole is so large it would've been easier to use the arm just simply take the container out and replace it with another container or at least fill it with a single pour. In another case in a large building with lots of offices in front of many windows there is a car parked. Somebody climbs out the side of the building and climbs in the backseat. Another person carries out a dead body and puts it in the trunk. In my neighborhood somebody would always notice these kind of things even if somebody just sits in a car for 20 minutes with their lights on. They are so lucky to work so many places where nobody ever sees anything. They have two people held in prison and they are surrounded by scientists and prison walls. They got a great effort to secure these prisoners. When one runs they shoot and kill him. It would've made more sense simply to shoot him with a tranquilizer or being as they have 50 people and he is one; maybe just capture him. If all these criminals are advanced with explicit motives and a diligent plan, why do they behave like kids in a bar and react emotionally to every activity? They substituted a salad of instead of the drug. Yet strangely everybody fell asleep standing up even with their weapons. The ending of this two-part show seems like they just ran out of time.
