- TriviaAllison has had a vision of a crime being committed in the future and asks Scanlon to accompany her in checking up on the perpetrator before it happens. He comments, "I've never done this preemptive crime-fighting thing before... Do I at least get one of those flying motorcycles like Tom Cruise had?" This is a reference to the futuristic thriller, Minority Report (2002), starring Tom Cruise. In the film there are people (like Allison) called "Precogs", who see crimes being committed in the future. These visions actually give the police the authority to arrest the perpetrators before the crime is actually committed. And, indeed, Tom and the rest of the cops have flying motorcycles.
- GoofsOn the phone, Allison is upset with Devalos and addresses him as "Mr. District Attorney". Taken aback, he questions the very formal nature of her salutation. However, for the entire series, that is the only way she ever greets him and he doesn't find it unusual at all. On occasion she will address him as "Sir", but never informally, as "Manuel", for example.
- Quotes
Karen Herzfeld: [Joe is having lunch with and talking to an old acquaintance, research fellow, Karen about her wanting a job in Aerodytech. She is asking him to put in a word for her] But even if someone like you weighs in on my behalf? Don't you think they'll meet me?
Joe Dubois: Uhm, I don't know.
Karen Herzfeld: Isn't it at least worth a try? I mean how fantastic would that be, working together again, rubbing elbows, pulling all-nighters.
Joe Dubois: [Karen touches Joe's leg under the table] What are you doing, Karen?
Karen Herzfeld: I'm closing, Joe. I'm closing.
Joe Dubois: Well, stop. Look, I am flattered by your proposal, both proposals, but frankly, you're not qualified for either position. The first one is clearly way above your head educationally, and the second one is permanently filled by someone who knows more about physics than you and me combined. Enjoy your fish.
