- TriviaThe building used in the series for the establishing shot of WJM (known in the series as the 'Snyder Building') was, in fact (at the time) Midwest Savings and Loan, located one block south of the IDS Center, on Nicolette Mall (the IDS Center is shown in the opening of the episodes - in the later seasons, Mary's wearing a yellow-print overalls-type outfit, as she's crossing), at 801 Nicolette Mall, Minneapolis. When the WJM crew (sans Ted) is looking out the newsroom window, at the sunset, the cut-away shot of the newsroom office is on the east side of the building.
- Quotes
Ted Baxter: Mary, I didn't get a chance to thank you. You saved my life by pressing your lips to mine.
Mary Richards: Ted, it was nothing.
Ted Baxter: What'd you expect? I was sick.

Ted Spreads and Infection
Ted Baxter has a mild heart attack while delivering the news. There is a hilarious scene where the man coming to fix the Xerox machine is mistaken for a doctor. After Ted recovers, he begins to look at all aspects of life as miracles. Pretty soon he is driving everyone crazy, until one at a time they begin to see the beauty in what is in the world and how little time we have to appreciate it. This turns into a really touching episode as the seventh season rolls toward the end. The final scene is extremely touching.
