  Detective Rey Curtis : I love my wife! More than my own life. And I betrayed her trust once. Just once. But with her love and with God's help...

  Mr. Mosbeck : Your Honor, would you direct the witness to answer the question?

  Detective Rey Curtis : I haven't been unfaithful to her since! I know better! My mistake was trusting Katrina Ludlow. So yes, I've made mistakes as a man. But as a cop? No, sir. I did not tamper with that evidence.

• Detective Rey Curtis : [in victim's home]  Beautiful wife, beautiful kids, beautiful sailboat.

  Uniform Policeman : [points to bra on chair]  Maybe not thinking straight got him in this jam in the first place.

  Detective Lennie Briscoe : Looks like he got SOMETHING straight!
