James Earl Jones plays a lawyer representing a client played by Scott Lawrence. Jones had played the voice of Darth Vader in the Star Wars films, and Lawrence went on to play Vader's voice in various Star Wars video games.
Dana Sparks and Scott Lawrence, though having no scenes together in this episode, would reunite 15 years later in the JAG episode "Back in the Saddle" (2003) in which Lawrence would be the prosecuting attorney and Sparks the defendant.
