- TriviaGuest Gary Barker played by Patrick Marber stated he punched Jessica Tandy and threw her copper kettle at Whoopi Goldberg, but the name was hastily re-dubbed to Angela Lansbury when Jessica Tandy died a few weeks before broadcast. The original dialogue can be heard on the DVD release but the re-dubbed version continues to be used in repeats.

Episode 2
Undeterred after an underwhelming first show, Alan Partridge perseveres despite one newspaper critic calling his show moribund.
This week Alan is enchanted by the agony aunt from Playboy Daniella Forrest until he discovers she used to be man and suddenly realises that he had just kissed her or him in the lips.
Magician Tony Le Mesmer cheekily makes fun of Alan by secretly hypnotising him and making him do and say strange things. Alan meets Petty Officer Alan Partridge who has never had his leg pulled because of his name but mainly because of his nervous tick.
Star guests are celebrity couple Gary Barker and Tania Beaumont, who just like Richard Gere and Cindy Crawford want the world to know how strong their marriage is. Alan suggests that Tania's film are famous for her displaying her breasts just like Helen Mirren.
Le Mesmer returns for his main act, throwing knives on a scared Alan Partridge who is still under hypnosis by the way.
I think Alan nearly became moribund himself. That would had pleased the critics.
