This is the last episode to feature Bonnie (Patricia McPherson) until Season 3 because the character was replaced by April (Rebecca Holden) in Season 2.
This episode features one of the only times a real stuntperson is shot from the ejector seat. "In the beginning it didn't work right," David recalled. "It went way too far. The first two or three stunt guys who tested it wouldn't do it again because it was so scary. They went high in the air, about half as high as a tall palm tree that was nearby. It wasn't the height that scared them so much as the fact that the ejector seat was out of control and they didn't know where they would land. Luckily, stunt people know how to land almost anywhere." (Extract from the Knight Rider Album, by Chip Lovett).
This episode includes desert footage shot by Wayne Fitzgerald that was left out of the opening titles. One other discarded shot was used in the opening titles to Knight Rider 2000.
Knight Rider composer Don Peake can be seen during the bar scene.
The Satan's Stompers Motorcycle Club were originally named the "Devil's Disciples," while Natalie was at first called Dana.
