At the end of Act Two, after the logs have buried K.I.T.T., he was supposed to say (in his Bronx Cabbie voice) "Hey, who turned out the lights?!" before going to commercials; the line was moved to the beginning of Act Three. After the break, he points out to Michael that there is enough lumber on top of them to make 10,658 hot tubs.
In the original script, Jonathan Dutton is described as "fifty-three, handsome, board chairman." Samantha Dutton, "twenty-four - beautiful, intelligent; everyone calls her "Sam." Our first meeting with Whitby is as follows: "Erik Whitby, twenty-two, six feet three inches, 225 pounds of muscle, mackinaw, jeans and unbridled anger, gets out and blows past the parking valet."
This is the only episode in the season in which RC3 does not appear.
This is the only time in the Knight Rider series in which Michael Knight introduces himself as Mike Knight.
There is a nice hint of irony at William Daniels with the interplay between the "Bronx" Cabbie accent juxtaposed with Daniels Mid-Atlantic accent with KITT. Daniel's accent being Mid-Atlantic is an amalgamation of the most prestigious features of American and British English, often used in upper class and entertainment. It can sometimes sound like a "British accent". Daniel's Mid Atlantic accent is used throughout his career but for KITT to employ a "Bronx" accent (which sounds more like a Brooklyn accent) is possibly a nod to Daniel's hometown.
