First appearance of K.I.T.T.'s familiar three line voice modulator, replacing the red square voice box used in previous episodes.
Although this is the first episode to feature K.I.T.T.'s familiar three line voice modulator, when Michael calls for K.I.T.T's help as the gun men arrive to open fire at the wedding. The shot of the driverless car preparing to move off shows the old red square voice box used in previous episodes rather than the new three line voice modulator revealed at the start of the episode.
The first appearance of the black F.L.A.G. Mobile Unit which is a semi-trailer truck owned by the Foundation for Law and Government, which functions as a mobile garage for K.I.T.T. The previous version was white and not often seen on the move. It is also the first time the audience see K.I.T.T reverse out while it is moving.
The graphics on K.I.T.T.'s monitors are significantly improved over those in previous episodes.
This story marks a change in the way the character of Devon Miles is written with a significant change in attitude. Having previously been disdainful and disapproving of Michael in many ways, he is now more on his side and seen to have Michael's back.
