[first lines]
Hyacinth : Listen to that. Doesn't he play beautifully!
The Neighbour : Yes, he does.
Hyacinth : Brahms, I think.
The Neighbour : Mendelssohn, surely.
Hyacinth : Hm?
[laughs self-consciously]
Hyacinth : Just testing.
[the neighbour leaves]
Hyacinth : Know-all.

[last lines]
Mrs. Fortescue : You have very interesting relatives, Mrs. Bucket.
Hyacinth : It's Bouquet. Yes, they are. Very... interesting.
[a man wearing a medieval dress waves at them]
Richard : Wasn't that Bruce!
Hyacinth : Keep your eyes on the road, dear.
-
[talking on the phone with her sister Violet]
Hyacinth : What's wrong with your husband, dear?
Hyacinth : Whims and fancies.
[chuckles]
Hyacinth : They all have their whims and fancies.
Hyacinth : In what way is Bruce going strange?
Hyacinth : [laughs] Well, I'm sorry, Violet, but I thought for a moment there that you said he wanted you both to dress up as Robin Hood and Maid Marian.
[chuckles]
Hyacinth : Oh, he does want you both to dress up as Robin Hood and Maid Marian.
Hyacinth : What do you mean I haven't heard the worst part?
Hyacinth : He wants to be Maid Marian.
-
Hyacinth : Watch the cyclist.
Richard : I'm watching the cyclist.
Hyacinth : She shouldn't be riding a bicycle wearing skirts as short as that.
Hyacinth : [Richard is looking over to the side] Keep your eyes on the road, dear.
Richard : [looking in the rear-view mirror] But you just told me to watch the cyclist.
Hyacinth : Just watch the road.

[Richard has waved to Onslow who rides past on his bicycle]
Mrs. Fortescue : Who was that?
Hyacinth : [pretending she hadn't noticed] Who was what?
Mrs. Fortescue : That man your husband was waving at.
Hyacinth : Oh he wasn't waving Mrs Fortescue, he was just signalling a turn.
Richard : Much more of this and I think I'll have a turn!
Mrs. Fortescue : Didn't look like anyone I would expect you to know.
Hyacinth : [obviously pleased] How very perceptive of you to recognise that, Mrs Fortescue.
