Jason asks if Capitano Rizio bought his King/Caine-inspired ensemble from Mr. Cod on Savile Row ("Yes, I thought so..."). This is a neat reference to Mayfair boutique Mr. Fish, run by Michael Fish and Barry Sainsbury, from the mid-60s to mid-70s. It is widely credited as a major player in ushering in the "peacock revolution" in men's fashion at the time, and its' customers included most of the hip rock stars of the day such as David Bowie and Mick Jagger; it provided the famous man-dress worn on the cover of "The Man Who Sold the World " album by the former.
The faux-hardback book box concealing Jason's Dictaphone, used to record the new Mark Caine thriller, is 'titled' "After You... Death" - his novel "After You: Death" is seen in several episodes.
