- Chicom agents capture Harm in Hong Kong; they vigorously question him in mainland China about official matters. During mind games Harm imagines his father's voice. Meg and Alison search for Harm, and, after a firefight, they get him back.
- Harm makes an official visit to Hong Kong (while that place is still a British crown colony, shortly before the return of Hong Kong to China); there agents of the Chicom government capture him, take him into mainland China, then imprison and question him, believing that he can tell them whether the USA would intervene if the Chinese take the islands of Matsu and Quemoy back from the Taiwanese government. Harm undergoes vigorous questioning, mind games, and drug therapy; in his cell he imagines that he hears the voice of his father. Meg and Alison search for him. Despite deception and double-crossing among the Chinese and after a firefight at the border, Harm returns to Meg and Alison.—DocRushing
- While in Hong Kong (one year before the transfer of sovereignty from Britain), Harm is kidnapped by the Chinese and interrogated about anticipated American reaction should China try to take the Matsu Islands by force. While imprisoned, Harm believes the man in the cell next to him (voiced by Richard Crenna) is his missing father.
- On a sailing trip near Hong Kong, Harm is captured by the Chinese military. They want him to reveal the United States' position in case the Chinese should take two islands (which are claimed by Taiwan) by force. To get this information, the Chinese employ various mind games including placing Harm's father in a adjacent cell. Cdr. Krennick and Lt. Austin are offered a deal which includes Harm's freedom and asylum for a Chinese military person.
