Det. Sgt. Ed Brown : [Ed & Ironside get a blow-out, driving on the interstate; Ed wrestles the van to a stop] You all right?
Robert T. Ironside : You all right?
Det. Sgt. Ed Brown : Oh, yeah, I'm darling.
Robert T. Ironside : I'll unbolt the spare.
Det. Sgt. Ed Brown : Swell.
[Ed gets out to check the tire, car horn blares, as car flies by van]
Det. Sgt. Ed Brown : How are you? Nice to see you. Thanks for your help! Nice talking to you!
-
Robert T. Ironside : What are you drinking?
Dr. Juan Domingo : Gin.
Robert T. Ironside : But your gin has more color to it than my scotch.
Dr. Juan Domingo : Yeah, how about that? Salud!
Robert T. Ironside : Salud y pesetas!
Dr. Juan Domingo : That'll be the day.
[Ironside makes a wry face]

Dr. Juan Domingo : They must think very well of you to give you such a fine truck. You know, in my country, if a man admires something of yours, you must give it to him. Of course, if he takes it, you kill him.
Robert T. Ironside : Listen, Cuban, if you're going to live in this country, you'd better learn the language. Besides, ees no truck, ees a van.
Dr. Juan Domingo : 'Ees no truck, ees a van'. Very good. I didn't know you spoke Spanish!
-
Mrs. Wescott : That's all you're doing, scurrying around to try to cover up for that salt-water spic that couldn't cut it in his own country. Now get out of my way.
[Ironside grabs her jacket as she tries to leave]
Robert T. Ironside : You listen to me, Miss America. Juan Domingo graduated with honors from Harvard Medical School, Cambridge, Massachusetts. His father was Mayor of Santiago and his uncle was Chief of Police. Fidel Castro threw Juan into prison for refusing to certify political executions as 'natural deaths'. And when Juan Domingo broke out of Morro Castle Prison, he got 17 other people out with him. Now *you* get out of *my* way!

Robert T. Ironside : You got any bourbon?
Dr. Juan Domingo : Bourbon?
Big Sue : Have we got bourbon!
Dr. Juan Domingo : Here, bourbon.
Robert T. Ironside : Green bourbon?
Dr. Juan Domingo : Of course, green. Bourbon. What do want, purple bourbon? You some kind of a nut?
