- TriviaA few days before the taping of this episode it was revealed that Lucille Ball had been a member of the Communist Party in the 1930s after she had moved to Hollywood. Before the taping of the show began Desi Arnaz started to do his usual warm-up of the audience. But instead of telling some jokes he talked about the revelation of Lucille's past and tried to downplay it by quipping, "The only thing red about Lucy is her hair." She was one of the few people in Hollywood who managed to escape a past affiliation with the Communist Party relatively unscathed.
- GoofsAfter Lucy rushes home to intercept Mrs Hansen's phone call, she answers the phone posing as the maid. The only conversation is Mrs Hansen asking for Ricky, Lucy telling her he only speaks Spanish, and Lucy asking if she speaks Spanish. At no point does anyone mention anything about a check. Yet Lucy tells Ricky a friend wants to know how to say "the check is good" in Spanish. If she was really the maid, as Mrs Hansen believed, she wouldn't know about the check.

Lucy and Ethel or Ethel and Lucy's Dress Shop
I admit I am not crazy about the episode. The debate over what to name the dress shop is good. Also Lucy dressing up as an elderly woman with a cast on her leg is funny. Other than that it is mediocre, my opinion.
