"Watch the Birdie" finds General Peterson on a 7 year Air Force losing streak to the Navy's Admiral Tugwell (Ray Teal) and Commander Davis (Herbert Anderson), determined to find the perfect golfing partner for the tournament. One blink from Jeannie and Major Nelson drives the ball 400 yards, right in front of pro player Jerry Barber. Unable to dissuade the general from picking him for a partner, Tony receives putting lessons from Roger in his home: "you only missed it by a room!" By corking Jeannie inside her bottle Tony wants to be certain that good sportsmanship prevails. After an abysmal start he regrets Jeannie's absence, now more concerned about saving face for General Peterson. We know she's there when the ball moves before the club strikes it!
